This is a great little safety device that is visible from most directions because of the orientation of the very bright LED's. It was very easy to mount on my seat post. One thing that has impressed me is how little power it uses from the 2 standard AAA batteries. I have forgotten to turn it off after a ride and discovered it still going strong a day later. (I only use it in the flash mode, so I can't speak to power consumption in the steady mode.)I agree with other reviewers who said that the switch could be a little more convenient, but for the price, this is a good product. Day ornight, it is visible for a long distance.
