I bought this mirror when they first came out decades ago. I really don't care for helment or eyeglass type mirrors and everything else vibrates so much that you can't make anything out in them. At that time I commuted 25 miles each way to work and the use of this mirror really aiding not having to look back every time I needed to know what was going on. Now I am more of a recreational cyclist and I get passed a lot more than I used to so knowing what is coming up behind me is important. I broke my original mirrycle and the local store did not think they made this style any more as brake levers etc. have changed a bit since I bought my Trek in the 70's. I checked on their web site and found they still made them and bought through Amazon for the free shipping.
