Burley TAIL WAGON Pet Bicycle Trailer Review

Maybe 3.5 stars. We have used our new Tailwagon on mountain bike and paved bike trails daily for a week now.Our 6 month old pup jumped out at first (he was able to squeeze through the cover) so we bought one of those dual dog leads, a dog halter, and a D-ring.There are some loops to attach the dog lead inside the trailer. We attached the D-ring between the ring where you would normally attach a leash and the chest part of the pups halter. We adjusted the lead so he was able to move around the trailer a bit, turn around, sit, and lay down.He whined at first so we removed the outer cover which comes completely off, which helped a lot. The kick stand came off during the ride because the bottom clearance isn't adequately high enough for trail riding. The wheels are also not adequately large enough (for trail riding) either...my husband had to get off his bike and lift the trailer a few times. There are some trailers out there with a higher clearance which one might consider if you are biking on trails. The platform the dog sits (or stands) on has no cushion whatsoever. We haven't used the stroller part yet and might not ever but I got the Tailwagon just in case we would, plus I liked that it had a rain shield. After realizing that he hates it with the cover on, the rain shields don't matter anymore-for now anyway (however, the fact that you CAN completely remove it is a bonus). After a week of using it, for our purposes, I think I would buy the Rover or perhaps another brand instead.Overall though, it did the job and our pup was able to go with us rather than stay alone in a unfamiliar place while we were on vacation.I think it is also important to note that we have been satisfied Burley customers for many years. We used the heck out of a kid trailer (through 3 kids)...all said and done, there was no wear and tear and we were able to resell it for just a little less than what we originally paid.

Croozer Dog Bicycle Trailer (Sand/Silver) Review

Very smooth ride. All 3 tires are inflatable. Quality product. Plenty of space for a dog. Mine (24 lbs) can easily sit-up and ride in it.

The downside is it is pretty big. You won't be throwing this in the car without collapsing it. Contrary to what they might say collapsing it and then re-assembly isn't the easiest process.

Product Description:
Not all dogs can keep up with the sporty two-wheeled ambitions of their master or mistress. When that's the case, dog owners can turn to the Croozer Dog bicycle trailer, which ensures that your four-legged friends won't feel left out. Ideal for both short outings and long cycling holidays, the Croozer Dog boasts such construction details as an aluminum chassis, a plastic floor, and a bicycle hitch arm with two axle-mounted hitches.

The Croozer Dog folds flat for easy storage. In addition, the trailer's large door makes it easy to put Fido into the carrier, with zips at the front and rear for quick access. Best of all, the trailer's simple folding mechanism collapses flat, making it a breeze to store the trailer in the corner of your garage or in a closet. Other details include several side windows to give your dog a pleasant view, an internal eyelet for attaching a dog harness, and 20-inch spoked wheels.
The Croozer Dog--which holds pooches as heavy as 100 pounds--measures 31.5 by 36 by 32 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 31 pounds.

Croozer Mini Bicycle Trailer Review

I use this doggie trailer to tote my two cocker spaniels to the beach. They fit in pretty tightly, even though they are smaller than the average cocker. One weighs 20 lbs and the other 24 and they can lie side by side but there is no room between. They are able to get up and turn around and sometimes ride looking out in opposite directions. You will not be able to pull this in soft sand. You might be able to use it on hard sand but I have never tried it.It does add appreciable weight to your ride...you know it is back there. Of course, this is relative to the weight of your pet.If you buy this, put a towel under it when assembling so you do not damage the nylon cover on rough surfaces. This is very expensive but since it is designed for animals, it is what you need.I tried to adapt a child's bike trailer and found that it would not work, especially since it did not have a rigid floor.
