MT-31 Trike Review

My 7 year old son got this a couple days ago...he hasn't stopped playing with it yet..Didn't take too long to build. This was his first Lego toy.Now he wants them all! This is more durable than I thought.I figured with it being a bunch of pieces,it would fall apart with my sons rough playing.Hasn't yet. He's taken it outside pushed it all through the yard and its still together.
Looks like Santa will have to bring more.:)

Lego Community Workers Review

My husband and I got this LEGO set for our 9 year old son, and he absolutely loves it.He is a LEGO nut and had been specifically looking for a LEGO people set so he can interchange the outfits, hairs, etc. to build his own LEGO characters. This set has pretty much every general "character" you can think of...from a pro-skateboarder to a firefighter. This set is also great for kids who enjoy role-play because of the various characters offered in this set.The only thing that caught us a bit off-guard was the size of the box.Based on the price we paid (around $43) we thought the box would be bigger...although there are 200 something LEGO people pieces.I guess we're just used to seeing a bigger LEGO box when we purchase a set for $40.Regardless, we all have enjoyed playing with the LEGO people.

LEGO City Quad Bike Review

I bought this for my son for his 4th birthday. He had not had any legos prior (besides another set he got for his birthday).I showed him where the directions were and told him I would help him "in a minute".In about 10 minutes, he had the thing built all by himself. He only needed my help for the lights. He loves playing with them.Even though expensive for the size, it was well worth it.:)

LEGO Technic Street Bike Review

This bike is awesome. It took a few hours to put together but well worth the effort. I made the street bike and it has a working suspension and drivetrain. When I'm bored with it - I can take it apart and make it into a chopper.
If you're into motorcycles, love Legos, and want to have 2 projects in the same box - this is the motorcyle for you.

LEGO Star Wars: Speeder Bikes (7128) Review

This is a great set! You get two Speeder Bikes, plus two Scout Troopers, and Luke Skywalker with a black hand and his lightsaber.Luke can stand on a flat base that includes a tree, while the Scout Troopers can sit on their bikes. This set is small, and the completed Speeder Bikes are about 6" long. They are not as detailed as some of the other bigger Star Wars Lego sets, but they are still very cool.I keep one Speeder Bike on my monitor at work and one on my desk at home.If you like Star Wars, and you love the Speeder Bike chase scenes in Return of the Jedi, you will also like this little Lego sets. The set can be expensive because it is a retired set, but if you can find one for a good price, I think you will really enjoy the Speeder Bikes and the Scout Troopers.

LEGO® TECHNIC® Dirt Bike Review

What a bargain this set is!A mere $25 and it is very fun to build and play with.It is very dense with detail and mechanical features like an articulated 2 cylinder engine with pistons, crankshaft, and even a perfunctory "gearbox" although the gears cannot be changed. The chain drive is a beautiful and conspicuous detail, as are the front and rear suspensions but I think the feature that most delighted me is the exhaust. It runs from the engine through to the tailpipe in a very cleverly designed manner. As is often the case with lego sets, there are instructions included for a secondary model, in this instance a chopper.I haven't had a chance to build that yet though as the dirt bike is so cool. Also significant is the use of the Technic "panels" which with their ambiguous abstract shapes often look tacked on as afterthoughts in other sets.Their use here fits perfectly and defines the volume of the fuel tank which helps obviate the usual skeletal look of Technic. I guess a dirt bike is already skeletal! The educational value of the set is high with the authentic engine construction and clever details such as a working kickstand and all the other details mentioned above.
