I bought this bike for my 4 year old son.He already learned how to ride without training wheels on his 12 inch bike, so we didn't need the training wheels that came with this bike.My one complaint about this purchase was the directions for putting it together. It came with a thick, very generic instruction manual that didn't offer me much help at all.Fortunately there weren't too many pieces and unless you've never seen a bike before it was pretty easy to figure out.Took maybe 30 minutes or so?The chain also fell off a few times when he went over bumps or off the curb, but we moved the rear wheel back and it took care of the problem easily. My son's main complaint was the lack of a kickstand but I solved that problem with a $4 one from Target that works great as an add on.Things I like about the bike are that it's basic and simple for a beginner (no hand brakes to confuse things), it is lightweight, and nice looking. One note - My son is constantly making skid marks on the sidewalks and driveway and I was shocked to see that the back tire is already balding a bit.Oops!I think that's just his fault though, not the tire.
