This is a beefy lock.It springs back at you like a slingshot, and wrapping it around you bike is like wrestling with a giant boa constrictors.A self coiling cable this thick takes some muscle to stretch out, and I would advise most women and boys to not get this lock unless they want a workout.The spring tension is so strong on this cable that it will lift my bike off the ground if i lock it to something tall.a 15mm cable takes some big bolt cutters to slice through, and you can't really be inconspicuous about that.I bought this on sale at Amazon.com for $13.00--a steal for a $35-40 lock.but cable locks are never as strong as U-locks and I think a smaller, less expensive coil lock would offer the same protection and be a lot more convenient.With all cable locks, you should still park someplace with a lot of people around.You might as well have the benefits of a small, lightweight, pliable cable lock.
Don't pay more than $20 for a self-coiling cable lock like this.
