Blackburn AirTower 4 Bicycle Floor Pump Review

After working hard with other less expensive pumps to get up to the required 110 psi in my bicycle tires I decided to spend a little more money and get something better. After several hours of research I decided that this pump might fill the bill. I was right. The volume of air delivered versus the effort expended is high. It is a cinch to get up to 110 psi. Topping off automobile tires by a couple of psi to 30 psi just takes a few stroke of the pump. I don't even break a sweat in the Texas summer heat when I use this pump. The extra length of the hose is very useful and the pressure gauge at the top of the pump is easily read. The pump appears to be well made and should last a long time.

This is a great pump for the price and the lifetime warranty helped to make my choice. I contacted Blackburn to make sure there were no hidden requirements for the warranty feature and there aren't. I have also used other Blackburn products with satisfaction.

If you are reading this I assume you are in the market for a pump. I heartily recommend it.

Blackburn TPS-2 Bicycle Floor Pump Review

I wouldn't buy this again, I ride road and have competed for the past 6 months. Have had the pump for 18 months. It is easy to use and has a great warranty, but I find its not that great for getting tubes to high pressures like 120psi, it squeaks and leaks at these pressures (ok till it gets to 100psi in my experience). Is great for the kids bikes and my mountain bike, but if you want a pump for very hi pressure road tyres, I wouldn't recommened this one.

Bell Windstorm Premium Floor Pump with Gauge Review

I bought this as a replacement for a bicycle pump that I owned and used for about 20 years. That one died finally, and I thought this Bell Windstorm with a pressure gauge would be convenient. I have had this for about 3-4 months, using it about 10 times in that period. While it was working it worked well and I appreciated the onboard pressure gauge feature. The rubber hose has now broken where it attaches to the pump and it will not inflate anything. I do not see a way I, as a consumer, can repair it. This was assembled using glue to attach the hose to the pump. I would have to send the unit to Bell post paid with the original receipt (which I no longer have) to get the unit replaced under the Bell 3 year warranty. The cost of shipping alone would be about the same as the cost of a replacement, so the warranty is pretty much worthless to me. I would not buy one of these again.

Topeak JoeBlow Sport Floor Bike Pump Review

Mine worked fine--for about 9 months.Then the valve blew out and it was worthless except for inflating rubber balls to about 9 psi.Wouldn't recommend this, unless you want to buy a new pump every year or so.

Bell Airstrike 1800 Floor Bike Pump Review

This product is made totally of plastic and does not fill tires unless it is fitted absolutely perfect.I have yet to be able to fill a tire up without having all of the air leak out of the tire.Then, it takes another five minutes to get it to line up properly. Don't even bother!!

Topeak JoeBlow Turbo Floor Bike Pump Review

Looks good, feels good and works as advertised. Love the "smart head" for whatever type of valve needs filling. My bike uses presta but works just a easy on schrader. Pumps a large volume of air and the gauge appears to be pretty close to right. Hose is longer than some making it easy to attach to the valve. All in all a great pump.

Topeak JoeBlow Sprint Floor Bike Pump Review

Great pump. Key aspects:
1) Steal base is wide and stable.
2) Pressure guage is located at top of shaft. It is easy to read as far as pump guages go.
3) Pumping is effortless. I attached it to my mini-van tires, and with a good deal of pumping, was able to top off the pressure. Not more convenient than a air compressor, but definitely do-able in 5 - 10 min of pumping if you need to do it.
4) Pressure guage is accurate, and includes a bleed valve so that you can release air without removing the hose from the valve.

Only complaint: the T-type valve adapter is just a little bulky. It could be a problem if you need to get it into a really tight space (this problem is very unlikely for the typical user, but possible I think). A cheap valve extender from your local sports store would fix this problem if it occurs, and it may be worth the hassle to have both schrader and presta adapters permanently affixed to the pump.

Definitely a good buy. Would highly recommend, and would definitely buy it again.

Topeak JoeBlow Pro Floor Bike Pump Review

Whether your bike tires use schrader or presta valves, this bike pump is very easy to use.The night it arrived, I immediately pumped up the tires in both of my bikes to 60psi and barely broke a sweat.The pressure guage that is attached to the frame is the ultimate in convenience.It is really nice to get the immediate feedback from the guage on just how much air is in those tires.I have even used this pump to add a bit of air into my car's tires--it's just that easy to use.I highly recommend this pump.
