Kettler Kettrike Junior Tricycle Review

My son has had this trike since last summer. It is a heavy, study bike that he rides every day. We have to keep it in the house all winter so he can ride around the house. It doesn't tip over easily (but it does tip over if my son is messing around). I put it together myself and it was pretty easy to assemble. I recommend this trike for bigger toddlers (age 2 and up) since it's pretty heavy and even at the most compact setting most kids under 2 won't be able to reach the pedals. My son is almost 3 and still doesn't pedal consistently because of the weight of the bike.

Radio Flyer Ultimate Canopy Steer & Stroll Trike Review

My son received this trike as a Christmas present from his grandparents. He is only 14 months old, but big for his age, in any case he cannot pedal yet. The best features of the trike are that it is easy for Mom or Dad to steer, it has a seat strap, and its just plain cooler than going for a walk in a stroller. My son loves it and anytime he gets a peek of it he points to it and squeals, if we don't let him ride it he gets upset. He feels like a big boy, especially since he always sees the older kids in our neighborhood on their bikes. The features you can live without include the sun shade, which I haven't noticed actually blocking any sun, and the cup holder which doesn't really work out that well, the slightest turn and the drink tips and spills. This only detracts slightly from the overall impression of the trike, but you could save some money by buying the model without the useless sunshade. The seat doesn't seem adequate for a five year old, which is the age the trike is supposed to be used until. I don't think we'll use it much past three years, but all in all it is a sturdy little trike and my son loves it.

KETTLER Happy Plus Frog Tricycle Review

We bought this for our daughter's first Christmas (when she was only 13-months old). She couldn't ride it or do much with it, but we bought the Kettler seatbelt separately so we'd push her around the neighborhood on it and always had a blast. Now that she's two, she loves it even more and thinks it's great to cruise around the neighborhood or park.

We rarely bring a stroller with us anywhere, since she'd much rather ride on this when we're at an outdoor event, parade, or amusement park. And she loves that she can carry her own stuff in the little bag attached to the front and there's just enough room to perch a not-huge diaper bag in the back little "dump truck" area. We still use the detachable push-pole thingy just to keep her cruising the way we want, but she rides on her own now and I imagine this will remain popular well into the future.

It's lived outside for most of the past year and it's not faded or had any damage from the elements at all. Very sturdy and made to last. I anticipate we'll still have this for baby #2 (who isn't even on the way yet!) Great investment.

Kettler Go-Green Trike Without Handle Review

I was searching for a trike for my 2 year old's birthday. After reading many reviews I finally decided on a Kettler. Their push trikes seemed to be put together more solidly than others and made of better materials. It was a bonus to find the "go-green" Kettler made of recycled materials! The day I ordered it happened to be on sale for $45! What a fantastic deal! When it arrived all that I had to do was push one button and it snapped open, ready to use. The push bar was just as simple to attach. Although we've only used it once, it seems to be very sturdy, it's very light and easy to steer... also my short 2 year old was able to reach the pedals! This was a great buy!

KETTLER Happy plus Princess Tricycle Review

I ordered this trike for my second daughter because i had always heard good things about Kettler trikes.I liked the option of the handle in the back and that it had adjustable seat and handles so it would grow with her.First off we only received instructions in German, so that wasn't a good start.And now we are having trouble with the handle bar that is inserted into the front wheel to steer the bike.It's like the part is loose or stripped so when you want to steer you can't cause it's not a tight fit.I thought this bike was top quality for what we paid, but I was very disappointed.I don't think I would buy another after this experience.

Smart Trike Deluxe Tricycle Review

So what's so smart about the Smart Trike Deluxe Tricycle?This unique 3 in 1 multi-featured tricycle is designed for quality and functionality for a baby 10 months and up.It changes and grows with your child making it the perfect first tricycle choice.

I should start by saying I was sent one of these to review by the company.The twins and I loved it so much after using it a couple times that I immediately ordered a second Smart Trike Deluxe from Amazon.com.Putting the bikes together was simple and painless.The directions are well done and easy to follow.

The smart trike deluxe can be configured in 3 different configurations which correspond to 3 different approximate development phases of your child.

The first configuration is for the 10+ month child.In this set-up it has a wrap around seat, complete with back support, keeping baby in place.It also includes safety straps, a telescopic, parent push handle, and a sun hood to limit exposure.In other words, it's a bit like riding in a bike themed stroller for your little one.Pushing them with the parent handle is a breeze, it controls the actual steering of the bike as opposed to just pushing and muscling the thing along like most bikes.

The picture of my twins above on the Smart Trike Deluxe shows the second configuration, which is aimed at the 15+ month child.Gone is the safety bar, back support, and sun hood.However, in this phase the bike still utilizes the parent push telescopic handle, safety buckles, a cup holder, telephone toy, back tipping bin, and a storage bag.I can lower the handle if my twins want to pedal and steer on their own for a touch, but raise it back up to push them home when they tire.Love it!

The 3rd phase allows for the eventual removal all together of the parent push and steer handle.My twins aren't ready for that stage yet at 21 months but it's so nice to know our bike allows for that when we get there.

Wow!Tricycles have come a long way since I was little.In fact, they've come a long way since my 15 year old was little.Where was this thing when I was hunched over pushing him or dragging his bike home next to me while I carried him?

The overall make-up of the bike is top quality.It has double injection rubber wheels and full metal construction.It was of no surprise to me that the Smart Trike was a "Right Start Best Toy" Award" winner.The deluxe is just one of the models made by the Smart Trike company.

Plan Toy Wooden Trike Review

I feel like I'm always reading reviews for toddler things where adults receive the item and it's smaller than they expected. (Ironic, as measurements are usually provided.) I purchased this item for my son when he was 18 months old with size in mind, and knowing I would watch him closely as the 3-year-old recommendation age is most assuredly due to safety. My son adored this tricycle as soon as he discovered it Christmas morning. He couldn't reach the pedals or the floor, but he would sit on it and try to make it go, or push it around our house. His feet finally reach the ground when he's in it now (and almost two.) It's been perfectly safe at this early age as I closely supervise my son anyway, with him having a heart condition. I highly, highly recommend this product, I'm a big Plan Toys fan! :)

Kettler Kettrike Happy Plus Surfer Tricycle Review

The tricycle is an excellent idea and would be great if it was more durable.The switch on the front is used to switch from having the kid steer to the adult steering.It broke after 1 week of use.The screw that attaches the basket to the back of the tricycle was too small so the basket was never attached.
